Weekly — busy homes and families
A weekly clean suits full houses: families, pets, people working long hours who want the place consistently on top of itself. Less builds up between visits, so each one is quicker and the home never drifts far from clean. It's the popular choice for three-beds and up with children.
Fortnightly — the common middle ground
Fortnightly is the sweet spot for a lot of Manchester homes: couples, small families and professionals who keep on top of the basics but want the real cleaning done properly. One thing worth knowing — a fortnightly visit takes a little longer than a weekly one, because two weeks of living builds up more, so the per-visit cost is usually a touch higher even at the same hourly rate.
Monthly — smaller or tidier homes
A monthly clean works for one or two tidy occupants, a flat that doesn't see heavy use, or as a reliable reset on top of your own upkeep. It won't keep a busy family home in check by itself, but for the right place it's good value.
One-off and seasonal cleans
Not everything needs a schedule. A one-off deep clean before guests, after building work or at the turn of the seasons gets the whole place to a baseline — and it's a sensible way to start regular visits, so the first weekly or fortnightly clean isn't catching up on two months at once.
A quick guide by home
- Family house with kids or pets — weekly
- Couple or small family, fairly tidy — fortnightly
- One or two people, low use — monthly
- Moving, guests or post-works — a one-off deep clean
Not sure? Start and adjust
Most people start fortnightly and shift to weekly or monthly once they see how the house holds up. There's no tie-in, so we'd rather get the frequency right than sell you visits you don't need.
Frequently asked questions
Is weekly or fortnightly cleaning better value?
Weekly visits each cost less because less builds up, but you have more of them. Fortnightly costs less over the month with slightly longer visits. We'll quote both so you can compare against your budget.
Why does a fortnightly clean cost more than a weekly one?
Two weeks of living builds up more than one, so each fortnightly visit takes a little longer. The hourly rate is the same — the visit is just longer.
Can I change how often I get a clean?
Any time. There's no contract — move between weekly, fortnightly and monthly as life changes, or pause when you're away.
How long does a regular clean take?
It depends on the size and condition of the home and the frequency. We give you an honest estimate when we quote, once we know the number of rooms and what you'd like covered.
